Multiple Multinations success for Ireland

There was multiple Multinations success to celebrate for Team Ireland to celebrate over the weekend.

Irish fighter’s claimed two gold medals, a bronze medal and two trophies – one for the most competitive bout, and another for the best female boxer at the Memorial International Boxing Tournament Mustafa Hajrulahović in Sarajevo.

The tournament hosted by the Bosnia & Herzegovina Federation and concluded on Saturday night.

54kg Jennifer Lehane, of DCU Boxing Club, comes home with a silver, and Best Female Boxer trophy following her bout. 57kg Adam Hession, of Monivea BC comes home with bronze following his bout against Jousef Ibrahim Iashas (JOR).

Team Ireland’s golds came by way of 51kg Sean Mari of Monkstown, Dublin, who got the win over Hungary’s Jakub Slominski in his final, and 63.5kg Dean Clancy of Sean McDermott BC – McDermott also came away with the tournmants Most Competitive Bout trophy.
