McGregor isn’t the only Irish fighter Naz is a fan of
HALL of fame boxer Naseem Hamed was recently heard waxing lyrical about Ireland’s UFC star Conor McGregor.
The Prince, who fought and defeated Belfast favourite Wayne McCullough back in 1998, see’s a kindred spirit in former Crumlin amateur and labeled him the most entertaining man in combat sports- with a massive emphasis on ENTERTAINING.
However, it seems Notorious isn’t the only Irish fighter ‘Naz’ has a grá for. The former World champ, who was a product of Dubliner Brendan Ingle’s Sheffield gym, is also a fan of IBF World champion Carl ‘The Jackal’ Frampton.
Speaking to the Belfast Newsletter Frampton revealed,
“I spoke to the Prince in a hair dressers in London. He was very supportive, complimentary and he likes my work.
“But what a fighter he was in his prime. He was very talented and what a puncher.
“It was great to talk to him and he wants to come and watch me train at the gym, which is a great compliment,” he added.
