McGregor: I would kill Mayweather in 30 seconds

IT would be close in terms of who would win the pre fight talking and hyperbole battle, but once in combat Conor McGregor claims Floyd Mayweather would prove no match for him.

Indeed the former Crumlin amateur boxer turned MMA star and UFC World title challenger claims he would have the pound for pound great gone in 30 seconds.

Speaking in a brash and confident manner ‘Money’ himself would be proud of, the Dubliner, who spars various Dublin based pro boxers, says the self proclaimed ‘TBE’ is a ‘rookie’ in the art of fights.

“I don’t look at a man who’s an expert in one area as a specialist. I look at him as a rookie in ten other areas,” McGregor said in an interview with Esquire.

“If you can box, what happens if I grab hold of your legs? If you put me face-to-face with Floyd Mayweather—pound-for-pound boxing’s best—if I fought Floyd, I would kill him in less than 30 seconds.”

“It would take me less than 30 seconds to wrap around him like a boa constrictor and strangle him.”
