Lynn Harvey promises that her fans will lift the roof off the National Stadium

Dublin flyweight Lynn Harvey [1(1)-0] is promising an electric atmosphere when she takes to the ring at the National Stadium next Saturday.

The Kilbarrack flyweight takes on Spaniard Mary Romero over six rounds in her long-awaited return on the Red Corner Promotions November 5th show, and predicts that the Harvey Wallbangers will raise the roof once more.

‘The Hunter’ Harvey’s following made a big impression at her debut at the Red Cow Hotel last November. Not your typical fanbase, the mainly female crowd made a notable amount of noise on that Tony Davitt show and stayed in the venue from the first bell until the last – despite Harvey featuring in the middle of the card.

Harvey believes it will be something similar on the South Circular Road, and told Irish-Boxing.com that “I reckon I’ll get a good crowd over there. It’s looking that way, the momentum is feeling good.”

“All the people who were there [her debut] are coming again bar one or two for genuine reasons, and there’s more coming on top of that.”

“I’m looking forward to having a big crowd, I want the roof lifted off the place.”

“They’re there for the night out, I know their not mad boxing fans, but a lot of them are mothers and they don’t get out very often so they’ll be there for the night.”

“They’re not just going to come and see me and go home – they’re out on the rip, dolled up to bits, coming over on the bus so they can drink!”
