Debut knockout for Lewis Crocker in Belfast

Belfast boy Lewis Crocker showed off some of the power that has been whispered about in hushed tones this evening at the Waterfront Hall in a destructive professional debut.

The 20 year old punched for pay for the first time on the big BoxNation bill and stopped Hungarian Ferenc Janko inside a round.

Janko is only 20 years old himself, but the gulf in strength was apparent, with Crocker bullying his first pro foe into an early submission.

‘The Croc’ soon had his tentative foe on the floor with a cuffing right hook. Janko rose unsteadily as Crocker went in for the kill, forcing his opponent down in the corner with a flurry of hurtful looking shots.

Crocker’s brand new professional record reads 1(1)-0, while Janko, who required oxygen following the 77 second beating, falls to 1(0)-1(1).

Such was the brevity of the fight, Crocker will now hope to be back in action as soon as possible.
