The undercard for the MHD Promotions in association with A McLean Bookmakers entitled “Elimination” show at the Europa Hotel on Saturday 6th February is starting to look very exciting.

Aside from the headline act of James “The Future” Fryers & Maxi Hughes fighting a 10 round eliminator for the British Super Featherweight Title, the undercard is also full of top prospects from all over Ulster and now the next few match up’s have been released:

The exciting and charismatic 2014 Commonwealth Games silver medallist Joe “The Dragon” Fitzpatrick, now undefeated in 3 contests all of which by knockout, has a test of his own that has all the hallmarks of a “shoot-out” when he takes on the heavy-handed Latvian Ruslans Berdimuradovs W8 L5 with seven of his  wins coming by KO.

Berdimuradovs bounced back from a defeat at the hands of James Fryers in November in Estonia to win a local “Prizefighter” competition in Riga in December.

“Joe is becoming very hard to match so he is stepping up earlier than anticipated but hopefully he will show his class on the night,” Promoter  Mark Dunlop said of the match up.
