Jamie Conlan scores clinical stoppage win at ‘Second Coming’

With super flyweight rival Paul Butler looking on, Jamie Conlan made it 15 fights unbeaten with a dominant win over Argentina’s Adrian Dimas Garzon on the MGM ‘Second Coming’ show at the National Stadium.

The fight probably couldn’t have been any more different than his previous war with Junior Granados, with Conlan loading up with fast flurries from the opening bell and his South American opponent throwing very little in return.

Conlan was again dominant in the second with two big counter rights and a hurtful left hook to the body.

The Belfast boxer landed multiple huge shots in the third against a seemingly fading Garzon who looked as limp as the 1990s-style mullet he sported.

Ready to go, Garzon finally sunk to the canvas in the fourth, the Argentinean rose to beat the count but Conlan immediately jumped on him with a barrage of punches to end the fight

With the impressive stoppage win, Conlan improves his ledger to 15(9)-0, while Garzon drops to 10(1)-19(8).
