EDDIE Hearn claims that talks re a mega Carl Frampton versus Scott Quigg bout are ongoing.
The Matchroom boss, who guides the career of Quigg, says he had positive discussions with Cyclone Promotions re the domestic dust up and hopes the duo will trade leather in September.
Frampton is keen to fight the WBA belt holder, but only if Hearn isn’t demanding options. The Jackal is also mandatory for WBC world champion Leo Santa Cruz and has been linked with a return with IBF champion Sergio Martinez.
“I had a great chat with Frampton’s camp this week,” said Hearn in his Mail Column last week.
“I expect them to challenge Kiko Martinez, the IBF champion, this summer and then hopefully we can plan the big unification bout with Scott Quigg, our WBA super bantamweight world champion, later this year.
‘We want this fight 100 per cent,” he added.
