FULL FIGHT: ‘The Quiet Man’ Steven Ward’s pro debut in Belfast
One of the loudest cheers in Belfast on Saturday night came for local lad Steven Ward.
‘The Quiet Man’ made his debut on the Boxnation show at the Titanic Exhibition Centre and the Oliver Harrison-trained fighter comfortably defeated Bulgarian stopper Merdjidin Yuseinov over four in front of a vociferous support.
An assured display against an awkward opponent, Ward looks to be one to watch in the light heavyweight division going forward.
