Frampton & Quigg camps clash at pre-fight Press Conference

The big fight is just two days away and already the Frampton and Quigg camps have clashed at the pre-fight press conference in Manchester on Thursday.

The issue of who gets which dressing room delayed the press conference and caused a heated debate between the fighters and their promoters as soon as the Sky Sports News cameras went live.

IBF Champion Frampton said that WBA title holder Quigg wanted the dressing room that is normally reserved for the headline act on the show.

The Belfast fighter was adamant that as he was the ‘A side’ on the bill, he was entitled to that dressing room.

Bury fighter Quigg retorted that as he was the ‘home fighter’, he was the one that should be in that dressing room.

As the debate started to resemble a schoolyard squabble, promoter Eddie Hearn said that there was nothing in the contracts relating to dressing rooms and he believed that Quigg belonged in that room.

During the top table debate it was revealed that somewhat of an armistice seems to have been achieved in the dispute with the dressing room locked up and neither fighter will have use of its facilities.
