European Youth semi-final details + Live Stream
Terry McEntee and Oliver McCarthy will be aiming to upgrade their guaranteed bronze medals to at least silver at the European Youth Championship semi-finals in Anapa, Russia today.
The Old School BC (Monaghan) and Brian Dillon’s BC (Cork) aces are in action at approximately 4:15pm and 4:45pm respectively.
Such is the Eastern European dominance of the sport in recent times, Ireland, England and Italy, each with two boxers into the semi-finals, are the only western European nations remaining at the business end of the tournament.
Both have tough fights with McCarthy facing Azeri Sarhan Aliev, whilst McEntee is up against home favourite Nikita Diskunov.
