Donnellan looking to push towards title’s in 2015

Alan Donnellan looks to put a stop start 2014 behind him and looks to push toward a 2015 title shot.

Donnellan signed with Mark Dunlop last summer but as fate would have it picked up a nasty cut in his last spar with Spike O’Sullivan prior to making his comeback with MHD Promotions in May in the Devenish Complex in Belfast.

His belated return in October at the same venue seen him pick up a good 4 rounds points win over the tough English journeyman in Iain Jackson to take is record to a respectable W6 (2KO)L3.

He was then scheduled to make a quick return on the MHD Promotions November bill at the Devenish Complex when once again bad luck struck again as “Donney” was diagnosed with a rare form of Meningitis

Now back up to his fighting weight and fully recovered the very popular Galway boxer looks to march up the Irish Rankings and a possible Irish Title Fight at Super Middleweight.

Alan said, “My aim the year is to get my record up to 10-3 and a title shot before the year is out”.

Alan features on the February 7th MHD Promotions Card in the Devenish Complex in Belfast. His all Irish encounter against the very durable Dee Taggart promises to be one of the fights of the night. The bill is headlined by James Tennyson & Paul Hyland and includes Ciaran McVarnock, Tyrone McKenna, Darren Cruise & Michael Mckinson.

Tickets £40 VIP Ringside & £30 Unreserved available from the boxers on the card, The Devenish or Tel. 07712473905
