Defence forces and Ireland draw in National Stadiu,
Ireland and the Irish Defence Forces shared the spoils in a 5-5 draw at the National Stadium in Dublin this evening.
The Defence Forces were ahead three times tonight (2-0, 3-2 and 5-3) but Emmett Brennan and Christy Joyce won the final two bouts of the session to ensure that it finished honours even.
Meanwhile, Johnny Joyce beat Camohin Hynes on a split decision tonight to claim the Irish 69kg vest for next month’s AIBA World Men’s and Women’s Youth Championships in Sofia, Bulgaria.
