Darren O’Neill set for WSB debut

Darren O’Neill will make his World Series of Boxing (WSB) debut in South America this weekend against Russia.

The London 2012 Olympian is slated to line out for Venezuela in Venezuela on Saturday against an opponent to be confirmed.

Irish coach Eddie Bolger will be O’Neill’s chief seconds for the five-round bout versus the Russian team.

The current Irish heavyweight champion needs two WSB fights to make May’s WSB versus AIBA Pro Boxing Olympic qualifiers in Sofia, Bulgaria.
