Connor Coyle to debut next month – in America

Derry middleweight Connor Coyle is due to make his professional bow next month.

The 2014 Commonwealth Games bronze medalist has binned the vest and will punch for pay on what the U.S. East Coast.

However, while many Irish pros relocate to the US North East and the Irish-American communities of Boston and New York, Coyle will instead begin his professional career in the more tropical location of Florida.

The 26 year old has a date tentatively scheduled in mid August in the Sunshine State.

Ahead of the move, Coyle has been staying sharp in Paschal Collins’s Celtic Warriors Gym in Dublin the past two months where he has shared sparring with the likes of Spike O’Sullivan, Luke Keeler, and Bernard Roe.
