The first of three consecutive big weekends for Irish boxing fans kicks off on Friday night (Dec 5) as Paul McCloskey attempts to lift the vacant British light-welterweight title against former European Champion Colin Lynes.

The bout takes place in Dagenham and can be viewed live on Sky Sports 1 at 10.30pm.

The action continues on Saturday, December 6 with live coverage of Oisin Fagan v Amir Khan and Martin Rogan v Audley Harrison from London on Sky Box Office at 10pm.

On the same night in Nottingham, John O’Donnell clashes with Young Mutley in an eliminator for the British Welterweight Title. The bout, on the undercard of Carl Froch’s vacant WBC title challenge can be seen live on ITV1/UTV at 10.45pm with full build up on ITV4 from 8.45pm.

A week later on December 13, Irish boxing fans will again be glued to their screens as Brian Magee faces Stevie McGuire for the British super-middleweight title and Jason McKay meets Darren Barker for the Commnwealth middleweight title in Brentwood. The bouts will again be screened by ITV4 with more details to follow.

Later that night US based Wicklowman James Moore dips his toes in to World Class waters with a clash against Yuri Foreman, live on Setanta Sports. The bout, on the undercard of Kendall Holt v Ricardo Torres in Atlantic City follows Wlad Klitschko’s heavyweight title defence against Hasim Rahman in Mannheim.

Finally, on December 18 Darren Sutherland makes his professional debut at the Helix, Dublin. The card, which also features Irish light-middleweight champion Jamie Moore, Paulie Hyland and EBU super-bantamweight champion Rendall Munroe will be broadcast live on Sky Sports.
