Booth confirms Lee Saunders is on course for September

ADAM Booth has confirmed that Andy Lee and Billy Joe Saunders will trade leather in September.

On Monday afternoon Saunders’ promoter Frank Warren declared he was hoping to make the bout for September 5 and while Lee’s coach and manager Booth didn’t confirm the precise date he did reveal the World champion will fulfill his mandatory obligations and defend against the unbeaten Saunders in September.

Booth took to twitter today to confirm:

Yes…. It will be .@AndyLeeBoxing vs @bjsaunders_ in September. @frankwarren_tv and I are working through the detail! @WorldBoxingOrg

A venue has yet to be decided upon, but Warren is pushing for London as talks progress.
