Big hitters to fight on Dublin show in February

SOME of Irish boxing’s biggest hitters will take to the ring in Dublin on February 20.

Big men and former Irish amateur champions ‘Big’ Tommy McCarthy and Sean ‘Big Sexy’ Turner will both fight at the Red Cow and will be joined by not so big man, but massive puncher Phil Sutcliffe Jnr on a show that also includes the Dublin debut of Steve Collins Jr.

McCarthy has won all four of his pro bouts via stoppage, ‘Big Sexy’ has proven himself an explosive puncher and the only time Sutcliffe, who was also an Senior Champion, went the distance he had his opponent down in each round, so knock out’s could be on the Red Cow menu.

Dublin fight fans will also be keen to get an up close and personal view of Collins, who has generated interest since leaving professional rugby to punch for pay. Collins will fight in his second bout since recovering from injury and will be looking to move up the rankings and stay busy in 2015.
