Following his spat with Joe Gallagher yesterday, Barry McGuigan took aim at Matchroom head honcho Eddie Hearn today in Belfast.

Speaking at the final leg of the Frampton-Quigg media tour, McGuigan took umbrage with one of the Englishman’s comments.

Hearn claimed that it was him and his team who brought Cyclone Promotions and Frampton to the negotiating table and that “I’m letting you into my platform [Sky Sports].”

Incensed, McGuigan rounded on Hearn and proclaimed “you’re an arsehole!”

Defending his outburst, the former featherweight champ reasoned that “you’re lying, I’m just telling the truth.”

Needless to say, the comments were well received by the large and loud Belfast crowd in attendance at the Europa Hotel, and it was just one of many highlights of an entertaining press conference.
