American prospect eyes Jono Carroll clash – says they have agreed to trade leather

American prospect O’Shaquie Foster [18(11)-2(0)] has Jono Carroll [18(4)-2(0)] firmly on his radar.

The Texas native has finally started to make a name for himself in America and took a stride toward a top 10 ranking when won a nationally televised bout against Miguel Roman late last month.

Speaking directly after the knockout win the 27-year-old told the TV cameras he wants a world title shot and name dropped Belfast’s Carl Frampton.

Ā ā€œI would love to face the winner of Berchelt vs Valdez next, or even Carl Frampton. Any of the top guys, Iā€™m ready to get in the ring with.ā€

‘Ice Water’s’ chances of getting a world title shot next seem slim, but he has a contingency plan in the form of Jono Carroll.

The American would like to face the former world title challenger.

Speaking recently he suggested the pair had agreed between themselves to fight.

Foster would be a good option for ‘King Kong’, who needs to regain some top level momentum after suffering only a second career defeat to Maxi Hughes last time out.

Whether or not either sides management see it as a viable fight remains to be seen.

Meanwhile, the Spain based Dub has been immortalized in song!

The Whelofella penned an ode celebrating the popular fighter.
