American date for Donegal’s Irish title hopeful

Donegal’s Micheal McLaughlin will fight for the fourteenth time as a pro in America on October 30.

The 31 year old southpaw will trade leather at the Melrose Memorial Hall in Massachusetts had hoped to on the October 10 bill that includes Gary ‘Spike’ O’Sullivan and Stephen Ormond, but fights three weeks later instead.

The Murphy’s boxing welterweight has been active this year fighting in February and July and will be hoping to wrack up a twelfth career win as he closes in on an Irish title shot.

McLaughlin also fought on October 30 last year when he defeated Paulo DeSouza on the night Jason Quigley overcame Greg McCoy in Boston.
