‘We’ll Share The Ring’ – Unified World Champ Hails Aaron McKenna for Brave Approach

Unified middleweight champion Janibek Alimkhanuly HAS taken kindly to being called out by Aaron McKenna.

The IBF and WBO world champion has been name-dropped by the Monaghan middleweight over the last few weeks but rather than take offence, the talented champ has welcomed the noise.

Alimkhanuly has been left frustrated by the other names at 160lbs, claiming they are not willing to fight.

As a result, he respects McKenna’s eagerness to trade leather.

Although all that doesn’t mean a world title shot is in ‘The Silencer’s’ immediate sights.

The 32-year-old Kazch wants Carlos Adames’ WBC title and wants to settle his differences with the boxer many felt was fortunate to beat the Andy Lee-trained Hamzah Sheeraz – and has told McKenna his time will come.

Speaking online the champion said: “This is how a real boxer should be! A boxer must not fear! I respect your brave statement and the fact that you called me out. Unlike the others, you’re not standing there scared. One day, God willing, we’ll share the ring. But first, let me take down that coward Carlos!”

The Smithborough native believes that would be a wrong move, suggesting he beat up Adames in sparring when he was much younger and remains adamant he would be a better test.
