Former Irish champ Fury and Joshua on 2016 collision course

Eddie Hearn is eyeing up a massive November showdown between World champions Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua.

Joshua has been linked to David Haye since claiming the IBF World title on Saturday night, but a mega unification fight with former Irish champion Tyson Fury is top of promoters Eddie Hearn’s wish list.

Fury rematches with Wladimir Klitschko on July 9 and Joshua could be in action on the same night, if both emerge unscathed and with their titles they could meet in November.

“Tyson Fury is our pick because he has got the other two belts, and I think a unification fight has to be a priority,” said Hearn. “Haye against Joshua is a massive fight, probably realistically next spring or summer but Fury could be one for 2016.”

Hearn said Joshua’s next fight could be around the time of Fury’s rematch against Wladimir Klitschko on 9 July.

He added: “We’re going to go in June or July, then Klitschko-Fury is on July 9 and if Tyson wins that fight he will be looking to go November time and so will we.”
