Team Ireland Gear Up for Russia

Team Ireland have finished up their final training camp ahead of the AIBA World Junior Championships in Russia.

The 13-strong squad depart from Dublin on Wednesday next ahead of the opening bell for the tournament next Friday in St Petersburg

Irish boxing has claimed two gold medals at this level over the last six years, courtesy of Joe Ward, the current European Elite champion, and Willie Donoghue.

A record 407 boxers have entered the tournament. Aaron McKenna will captain team Ireland in St Petersburg.
