That’s what Tevin Farmer promised Jono Carroll at the first press conference ahead of their fight back in January and the prediction came true.
However, while it was initially said during an aggressive confrontation, the pair were all smiles yesterday having sharing a gruelling twelve rounds on Friday night.
Carroll pushed the slick champion for the entirety of their IBF super featherweight clash at the Liacouras Center and won the respect of Farmer and the wider boxing public.
The grudge settled in the ring, the two embraced afterwards and, yesterday, Farmer would bring Carroll to his local area in Philadelphia – ‘the hood’ – for a cheesesteak.
Indeed, Carroll’s family and friends also got in on the trip to go for the city’s signature dish.
The pair documented the classy moment on their respective social medias.
Last night: Tevin Farmer & @jono_carroll brawled in the ring.
Today: They went and got cheesesteaks.
