Ward and Joyce back in APB action January 30

Joe Ward (2-0-1) and David Oliver Joyce (2-0-1) will compete in their fourth AIBA Pro Boxing (APB) fights on January 30.

Three-time European Union Elite champion Joyce meets Russian southpaw Dmitry Polyansky, the 2011 and 2013 European Elite silver and bronze medallist, in Astana, Kazakhstan. Both boxers have identical APB records, having won two and lost one each.

AIBA World Elite bronze medallist Ward is up against Bulgaria’s Spas Genov, who accumulated a7 and 0 record in the pro ranks before signing for APB, in Sofia, Bulgaria.

The Bulgarian, who is 12 years older than 21-year-old Ward, a European Elite gold medallist in 2011, won welterweight silver at the 2006 European Elite Championships in Bulgaria, where Kenneth Egan claimed bronze.
