Walsh gets her cake but can’t eat it as she prepares for Euro Games

Irish Elite champion Michaela Walsh celebrated her birthday in Baku, Azerbaijan today.

The Belfast dynamo, a Commonwealth Games finalist, turned 22 in the Azeri capital.

Walsh is part of a 12-strong Irish male and female squad at the inaugural European Games in Baku.

The squad arrived in Baku last Tuesday for a training camp. Boxing begins on June 16 at the Continental Olympiad.
