Joe Ward weighs in ahead of massive APB clash
Joe Ward weighted-in at 81kg on the button in Bulgaria this morning ahead of Saturday’s crucial AIBA Pro Boxing (APB) fight with French light-heavyweight Mathieu Bauderlique in Sofia.
Ward, an ex European Elite champion, meets Bauderlique over eights rounds on Saturday in an APB eliminator for the Rio 2016 Olympics.
The winner of the weekend’s clash will meet either Bulgaria Spas Genov or Kennedy St Pierre of Mauritius for a place at the Rio 2016 Games and the 2015 APB light-heavy final.
Bauderlique weighed-in at 79.4kg this morning. Eddie Bolger and John Conlan will be working Ward’s corner tomorrow night.
