It was won of those guts but no glory displays from Dennis Hogan in Germany on Saturday night.

The Kildare native lost a 12 round decision to 2008 Olympian Jack Culchay via a 117-11, 119-109, 116-112 scorecard and the Inselparkhalle in Hamburg.

There were suggestions the scoring was a bit wide and ‘The Hurricane’ has since vowed to come back stronger.
