Jono Carroll was punch-perfect last night on the Tyson Fury-Wladimir Klitschko undercard in Germany.

The 23 year old took the fight against Miguel Gonzalez of Honduras at one week’s notice but showed no signs of lethargy in what was a comprehensive win.

The charismatic Dubliner was in full control against the Central American, and put on an exhibition of skill that had the Sky commentators purring.
