Anto Upton put up a brave performance at the weekend in Walsall.

The youngest of the Upton clan was unsuccessful in his challenge for the English light welterweight belt

The London-born, Belfast-raised Upton was sent to the canvas twice but kept coming throughout, giving a good account of himself en-route to a points loss.

The 23 year old’s record drops to 11(4)-1(0) but he is sure to be back at title level in the near future following this minor setback.
