Alfredo Meli put in an impressive performance on Saturday night to claim the Celtic Nations Middleweight title after a 80-73 victory over Rhys Pagan in Belfast.

The fight was a lot closer than the scorecard suggests and Meli felt it was the toughest of his career to date.

After the bout Meli said he would be happy to fight anyone – including Luke Keeler for the Irish middleweight title.
