The Future looks bright – Fryers wants to be in title mix in 2016
Belfast’s James Fryers [11(4)-0] is planning a title assault in 2016.
The super featherweight prospect ended a busy year with a knock out victory in Estonia recently, and is hoping to kick on in the new year.
Reflecting on 2015, the 23 year old told the Belfast Newsletter that “it has been a good year for me and it was good to end it with a win.”
“Mark Dunlop is keeping me busy and I am reaping the rewards of that.”
On his plans for the next year, the highly-skilled Fryers, who is wanted by Declan Geraghty for an Irish title fight, explained that “I want to be busy again in 2016 and get into the title mix.”
“There is talk of a British title eliminator next year and that is the kind of fight I am looking for.”
