Swap Shop – Mick Conlan uses the power of Twitter to get his hands on a Playstation 4
Mick Conlan has swapped sunny California for slightly-less-sunny Glasgow as he ticks over ahead of his next fight.
The Belfast featherweight has some time off following his knockout win over Kenny Guzman last month and his appearance on the Lomachenko-Rigondeaux undercard in December.
With his brother Brendan getting married this month, Conlan has returned home for the wedding – but is currently over in Glasgow ticking over alongside his other brother Jamie, who fights for the IBF super flyweight title next month.
Fight camp, of course, can be a horrifically boring experience, even when in the company of friends and family. Over the weeks and months spent training, and especially with the recent release of FIFA 18, games consoles can get a lot of use.
However, the Conlan brothers and Belfast light welter Tyrone McKenna were lacking in this department – but this was soon rectified by the Top Rank prospect.
This morning Conlan put out a call to action on Twitter, pleading with one of his followers to lend him a Playstation 4.
Anyone in Glasgow got a PS4 they would loan to myself @JamieConlan11 and @Tyronemck while here in camp!?! Lol #Glasgow

The message may have been more in hope rather than expectation, however Conlan soon found a Glaswegian willing to temporarily part company with their Playstation.
Thanks @Hoidy for the loan of his PS4 with FIFA 18 on it to keep us entertained in our Glasgow camp 😂👍🏼 @Tyronemck @JamieConlan11 #Ultra pic.twitter.com/DdyV45xYQR
