Social Media goes wild as Katie Taylor’s London heroics are broadcast again

Not quite as tense, emotional or indeed joyous as watching it first time round, but still special nonetheless.

This week RTE helped us relive Katie Taylor’s Olympic final glory, twice broadcasting her London 2012 success.

Viewers watched on and got reacquainted with the massive wave of emotions experienced on Thursday August 9 now eight years ago.

If the online reaction suggests time didn’t detract from the special achievement and certainly didn’t lessen the love for Taylor.

Re watching the 10-8 win over Russia’s Sofya Ochigava stirred up old emotions.
