Shorty gets Manchester trail- Caroll could sign with Hatton

STEPHEN Carroll has six weeks to earn a dream contract with Hatton Boxing.

The Dublin lightweight, who debuted at the Red Cow in February, has had positive contact with Hatton via Frank Stacey and will be hoping to win a contract with fight legend over the next month and a half.

‘Shorty’ will first train with Stacey and Noel O’Brien of Oxyfitness where he will have to meet fitness targets before going to Manchester to spar.

If the 22 year old does become a Hatton boxer he will join former Irish amateurs Anthony, Paul and Sonny Upton in the Hitman’s stable.
