Double boost for Hogan ahead of clash with KO artist

DENNIS Hogan has received a double boost ahead of his big American bout with big punching Tyrone Brunson.

The Austalian based Kildare native takes on the fighter who boasts no fewer than 20 first round knock outs in Minnesota on Saturday April 17 just a week after been awarded an IBF top 10 ranking.

‘The Hurricane’ is now number 10 in the governing bodies ratings and is eligible to challenge for the IBF World title.

The light middleweight, who is on the radar of the likes of Anthony Fitzgerald and Dee Walsh, also found out he will be challenging for the WBA NABA USA title on Saturday night. If victorious he not only adds the strap to the Queensland, Australian and Oceanic titles he has accumulated since turning pro, a belt he hopes will give him a high ranking with the WBA a governing body that has none other than Floyd Mayweather as champion.
