RTE Confirm Olympic Boxing Qualifier Coverage

RTÉ Player will broadcast the latter stages of the European Olympic qualifiers in Turkey, with the semi-finals, finals and box-offs live this weekend.

Ireland have a nine-strong team competing in the Black Sea port of Samusn, with the men’s team comprising of Brendan Irvine, David Oliver Joyce, Dean Walsh, Michael O’Reilly, Darren O’Neill and Dean Gardiner, and the women’s team featuring Ceire Smith, Katie Taylor and Christina Desmond.

The competition continues throughout the week, with the decisive bouts taking place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Darragh Maloney will be joined by Bernard Dunne, Eric Donovan and Mick Dowling for highlights on RTÉ2 at 8.30pm on Sunday, with commentary from Adrian Eames.
