Report: Katie Taylor to feature on huge pay-per-view card

2017 looks set to be the year of Katie Taylor [2(1)-0].

The Wicklow super featherweight turned pro towards the end of last year and racked up two impressive wins on big Matchroom cards.

The second of these came against contender Viviane Obenauf on the pay-per-view undercard of Anthony Joshua v Eric Molina at the Manchester Arena.

Now it seems like Taylor will appear on yet another Anthony Joshua pay-per-view undercard, and will play a supporting role when the IBF heavweight champion attempts to add the WBA strap to his collection against former chapion Wladimir Klitschko in front of 90,000 fans at Wembley Stadium on Saturday April 29th.

A report from BoxingScene.com “understands that Taylor will definitely be added to the undercard of Anthony Joshua’s clash against Wladimir Klitschko at Wembley Stadium.”

The appearance would, hopefully, be the Bray boxers second date of 2017, with Taylor already being in line for a slot on the Gennady Golovkin v Danny Jacobs undercard at the Madison Square Garden Arena in New York on Saturday March 18th.

With Taylor already rising rapidly through the ranks, it is hoped that the 30 year old will fight for a world title, at the 3Arena in Dublin, at some stage in 2017.
