Pictures- Taylor and Tenny arrive in the Matchroom Bubble – Lee and Parker training

A big weekend for Irish boxing fast approaches.

Three of our biggest names are in action across two nights and a retired former middleweight world champion ensures interest in the biggest bout of the weekend.

First up Michael Conlan takes to the ring against Ionut Baluta on Friday and will be looking to get Irish revenge over a Romanian who has defeated TJ Doheny and David Oliver Joyce in his two most recent outings.

Saturday see’s the ever exciting James Tennyson return to the ring against Jovanni Straffon in an IBO lightweight ‘world championship’ fight.

Also on that card is a mouthwatering clash between Katie Taylor and Natasha Jonas. Nine years on from their historic Olympic clash the former amateur rivals go at it without head guards on the Derek Chisora versus Joseph Parker undercard.

Providing Irish interest in the main event is Andy Lee, the Limerick man has been coaching Joseph Parker for the heavyweight clash.

Tennyson and Taylor arrived in the Matchroom bubble today and Lee allowed the Matchroom camera’s into Tyson Fury’s gym, check out pictures of both below:
