Peter McDonagh and Dean Byrne do battle at the weekend for the Irish welterweight title in Dublin’s National Stadium.

Thursday at the venue, promoter’s MGM held the pre-show fight conference where Irish-boxing.com got the chance to talk to Galway’s McDonagh.

The two-time Irish champ, who grew up London, spoke of his displeasure with Dean Byrne’s recent ‘Plastic Paddy’ jibes, his prediction for the fight, and his big plans for the future.
