Pajo Hyland to fight on Murphy’s October Irish Extravaganza

Boston will go green next month. On October 10th Murphy’s Boxing promote a massive ‘Premier Boxing Champions’ bill at the historic Lowell Memorial Auditorium, headlined by Irish-American welterweight Danny O’Connor, and featuring Gary O’Sullivan and Stephen Ormond.

As rumoured by irish-boxing.com earlier in the week, it has also been confirmed that Dublin featherweight Patrick Hyland [30(14)-1(0)] will appear on the bill. The Jobstown boxer – promoted by Lou DiBella Entertainment and managed by Brian Peters – makes his return to the ring following the untimely passing of his father, the legendary Patrick Senior.

‘The Punisher’ last fought in March, headlining the Madison Square Garden Theatre, where he beat Manuel De Los Reyes Herrera via fourth round knockout. The bout next month is intended to be a warm up for the Dubliner ahead of a major title shot early next year.

Hyland, 32 next week, will be hoping for another impressive performance, as well as an appearance on U.S. television.
