Odds finally released for Paul Hyland Jr v Stephen Ormond
Odds have finally been released for the big all-Irish lightweight battle in Belfast this Saturday.
Paul Hyland Jr boxes Stephen Ormond over ten rounds in a fight which is a near-guaranteed war.
The two best 135lbers on the island go head-to-head on the Ryan Burnett v Zhanat Zhakiyanov undercard at the SSE Odyssey Arena for Hyland’s IBF East/West Europe title.
34 year old Ormond [24(13)-4(1)] comes into the bout off the back of a loss to Craig Evans, while 27 year old Hyland [16(6)-0] returns to Sky Sports following his statement-making first round knockout of Adam Dingsdale.
A tough-to-call fight, oddsmakers have been reluctant to price up the bout and a market has only surfaced this morning – two days out from the fight.
Currently just Paddy Power and Betfair are offering odds on the event
Hyland begins as a massive favourite, and is 1/5 with both to win.
Ormond on the other hand is 10/3 to defeat the Belfast boxer with Paddy Power.
The draw is priced at 25/1 with both.
Wider markets are currently not available
Update 11:00am: Ormond has shortened in to 11/4 while Hyland has stretched to 2/9.
