Carl Frampton has claimed rumours a date for his fight has been confirmed are untrue.
Reports on Monday, including one here on Irish-boxing.com claimed Saturday July 29th would be the date ‘The Jackal’ would fight at home for the first time since 2015.
However, Frampton took to Twitter to claim nothing has been confirmed.
Rumours! Nothing confirmed for any date, venue or opponent yet. When I know, you’ll know soon after

It does appear July 29th was the planned date and Windsor Park the venue, but the former two weight World champion suggests without an opponent confirmed and June fast approaching things may have to be pushed back.
“Windsor is my preferred venue but it depends on the opponent. We may have to go back because July 29 is getting a bit close now to release tickets. I can’t say a lot because I don’t know a lot,” ‘The Jackal’ explained to the Irish News.
