New York-based Corkonian Noely Murphy [6(2)-0] has been given a new fight date for next month.

The 22 year old Macroom welter will box on Saturday 19th November at the Foxwoods Resortand Casino in Mashantucket, in what will be his second six-round contest.

The rebel, who is currently living in the Irish hotspot of Woodlawn, has endured a frustrating 2016 so far, fighting just once (a six-round points win over Ariel Vasquez in April), while seeing two further dates cancelled at the last minute in February and June.

The card in Connecticut will be headlined by an IBF super bantamweight eliminator between Ryosuke Iwasa and Luis Rosa.

Also featured on the undercard is Murphy’s DiBella stablemate Radzhab Butaev [2(2)-0] whom Irish fans may remember as the man who lost to Andrey Zamkovoy last December in the Russian national championships and therefore helping secure Steven Donnelly a spot at the Rio Olympics.

An opponent for Murphy has yet to be confirmed.
