New fight date for Tyrone McCullagh

Tyrone McCullagh [4(3)-0] has confirmed a date for his fifth professional fight.

The Derry featherweight will box on the MHD Promotions show at the Devenish Venue in Belfast on Saturday October 8th.

It might be slightly too early for trick-or-treating, but ‘White Chocolate’ will be hoping for something sweet for his vocal travelling support – who are already marking themselves out as one of the best fanbases on the island.

The 25 year old will be stepping up to six rounds for the first time for the bout and said that it is a “tough step up for me but I can’t wait for it and will have a good eight weeks training camp to prepare myself and get ready for it.”

The former amateur southpaw stand-out, a European bronze medalist, is looking to progress quickly through his professional apprenticeship, and this step up comes relatively early.

The card itself will be headlined by lightweight Paul Hyland Jr, with further support from James Fryers, James Tennyson, Joe Fitzpatrick and new MHD signing Ronnie Clark, as well as more to be announced in the coming days.
