Belfast light welter Tyrone McKenna [11(3)-0-1] has been handed a new fight date in England.

It has been announced that the 26 year old will box on the MGM Birmingham ‘Jingle Brawls’ card at the Tudor Grange Leisure Centre in Solihull on Saturday December 10th.

McKenna will still box this weekend in his hugely-anticipated All-Irish fight with Tallaght tornado Sean Creagh [4(2)-0] on the Belfast Boxnation show at the Titanic Exhibition Centre. Any scheduled bouts will, of course, be dependent on the outcome of the fight on Saturday.

The new fight date could be McKenna’s fifth in seven months since signing with MGM earlier ths year and linking up with trainer Danny Vaughan.

Also featuring on the card in Birmingham in just under six weeks time will be Joe Sherriff, Troy James, Kelcie Ball, Ishmael Ellis, Jason Welborn, and headliner Cori Gibbs who will fight for the British light welterweight challenge belt.
