NEW Belfast TV fight card announced

A new televised card has been confirmed for the capital of Irish boxing.

Belfast will play host to its fourth televised show of the year on Friday October 5th.

The Titanic Exhibition Centre will play host to a bill which will be shown live on BoxNation TV.

It’s a return to the venue which saw a very successful Queensberry show in November 2016 where Paddy Barnes – who challenges for a world title this Saturday – made his debut.

The card will be promoted by MTK Global and is expected to be filled by fighters from their stable such as Tyrone McKenna, Tyrone McCullagh, Lewis Crocker, Steven Donnelly, and Sean McComb.

Recent world title challenger Jamie Conlan, who is a Professional Development Co-Ordinator with MTK, said that “we’ve such great momentum with boxing in the city at the moment with the likes of Carl Frampton and my brother Michael headlining huge shows at The SSE Arena in the space of weeks.”

“Now we’ve got an historic night at Windsor Park just a few days away and we’ll keep pushing on to build boxing as much as possible.”

The show comes in the middle of a busy period for Irish boxing, with Assassin Boxing running their first card the following night in Dublin at the National Basketball Arena while MHD Promotions have a card the following Saturday (October 13th) at the Europa Hotel – and Celtic Clash 7 is set to be confirmed in the near future.
