New Beginning just the beginning says MGM

THE New Beginning fight card in the National Stadium was just the beginning say MGM.

Pre the Boxnation broadcast fight night MGM and Matthew Macklin revealed they wanted to help revive Dublin and Irish boxing.

Six fight nights a year were muted and speaking after the excitement of Saturday had died down the Marbella based gym and promotional outfit have promised they will be back.

“We can safely say that Saturday night’s New Beginning was a success. Not just on a personal level for all of MGM’s fighters, not just for TeamMGM and not just for MGM Promotions. It was a night to remember and it put boxing back in the headlines in the home of boxing,” an MGM statement read.

 “We would like to thank Frank Warren and Queensberry promotions, Boxnation, the BUI and everyone at the National Stadium.

“It was a brilliant success and a real team effort. Needless to say New Beginning was just the beginning for MGM Promotions; boxing just came back to Dublin and there will be more to come.”
