National U-22 & Novice Championships – Day 3

The National U-22 and Novice Championships resume this evening at the National Stadium in Dublin.

Tonight’s action is primarily the Novices, however there are two U22 bouts to kick off the action.

First fight of the night sees recent 64kg Senior (Intermediate) Champion step up to welter to face Daniel Hoolihan, who reached the semi finals at the same tournament in November (at 69kg). The winner will face Mullingar’s John Joe Nevin in the semi finals tomorrow.

Immediately following this bout, Shannon Sweeney and Ciara Anderson do battle in the light flyweight division for the right to face Chloe Fleck in tomorrow’s final.

Boxing begins at 6.30pm.

Admission: €10 for adults and €5 for children (U/14). Admission payable at the door.

Club deals – €100 for 20 club members (€5 each). Ask at the door.

The women’s U/22 and Novice finals will be decided this Saturday, January 21st.

The men’s U/22 and Novice finals will be decided on Friday, January 27th.
